Founder and Company Director

With over 35 years in the building and construction industry, Garry’s journey spans from hands-on roles to leadership in design and management. His passion for innovative building systems led him to Kingspan, where he saw the potential of the TEK system. Recognising a unique opportunity, he founded Point1 Building Systems, becoming a Kingspan Delivery Partner from the very beginning.

A recognised authority in off-site construction, Garry offers a unique blend of technical expertise, practical experience, and a collaborative approach that drives high-performance, low-carbon building outcomes. Garry adds: “We focus on providing excellent thermal efficiency, reducing air leakage and removing linear thermal bridging from our buildings. Our commitment to all of our clients is to ensure complete satisfaction with the high-performance buildings we deliver and the level of service we provide.”

Project Co-Ordinator & Technical Support

With over 25 years of hands-on experience as a qualified joiner and carpenter, Nick has specialised in modern construction methods, particularly SIPs and timber frame systems. His time at a timber frame manufacturer and later at Kingspan deepened his expertise in structural and thermal performance. After working closely with Garry for four years, the two partnered in 2014 to grow Point1 Building Systems. Nick coordinates all design and technical information from placement of order through to fabrication, ensuring precision, providing clear communication, and a smooth process every step of the way. He has an exceptionally hands-on understanding of all processes involved with the design, engineering, and installation of the buildings we produce and takes a pragmatic, detailed approach to everything he does.

BEng (Hons) CEng MIStructE

Will began his career as a carpenter and joiner before moving into one of the UK’s largest timber frame manufacturers, sparking his passion for off-site systems. He later became a structural engineer, working with top London consultancies on projects from £250m to £1bn, including offices, life science, education, refurbishments, and basements. Specialising in mass timber, Will combines expertise in all materials with a passion for bio-based, off-site systems, delivering structural integrity, sustainability, and innovation. Will has enabled Point1 to expand its off-site offering and deliver more advanced timber solutions such as CLT, Glulam and LVL. Working closely with Nick, he ensures each structure is engineered with precision and innovation.

Accounts & Administration

Nicola has been part of Point1 since the very beginning, bringing with her a background in accounting, she is very much the heart of the team, ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.

Responsible for the entire procurement process, Nicola sources and orders all the raw materials needed to bring each project to life. She also manages our accounts department, maintaining clear and timely communication with clients regarding payment stages.

In addition, Nicola keeps us on track with our stringent accreditations, including Structural Timber Association Gold, ISO 9001:2015, and PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification). Often the first friendly voice you’ll hear when calling the office, she combines efficiency with a warm, approachable manner.

Operations & Contracts Manager

With a long career in construction, Mark brings a wealth of hands-on expertise and industry knowledge to the team. Before joining us in 2020, he worked for one of the UK’s leading timber frame companies, specialising in the manufacture and installation of timber frame homes.

Mark has been instrumental in establishing our in-house manufacturing operations, ensuring exceptional quality and efficiency from start to finish.  As Operations Manager, he oversees on-site installation and works closely with clients throughout the build process – from the first delivery to the final handover.

Technical Sales Support

With 25 years’ experience at one of the UK’s leading builders’ merchants, Amy built her career on exceptional customer service and a deep understanding of the construction industry. She progressed to Regional Tool Hire Manager, overseeing branches across Scotland and Wales, and later led nationwide training for all tool hire branches.  Joining Point1 in 2019, Amy is an integral part of the sales team, liasing with customers during the booking-in process, with quotations, and coordinating CPD sessions with architects to share expertise and build strong industry relationships.

Project Estimator

Reuben graduated from Wrexham University with a degree in Architectural Design and Technology and has worked in construction ever since. Skilled in CAD software systems including Revit, AutoCAD, and SketchUp, he brings precision  to every project. Joining Point1 in 2024, Reuben reviews and draws clients’ projects to produce accurate take-offs as part of our unique quotation process. His technical expertise, combined with a fresh, modern approach to problem-solving, makes him the team’s go-to “technical wizard.” Always ready with innovative solutions, he uses the latest computer-aided tools to keep our processes sharp and efficient.
